On the day before Halloween, in the year Two-Thousand and Nine, the debut album from your favorite Scando-Anglo-Germanic ensemble, SPURV LÆRKE, will be officially released. We are simply ecstatic, that the fruits of our efforts will finally come to bear. We’ve been street-level paving the way for the publishing of our record with recent shows in Dresden (Societaetstheater, Scandanavian Pop Festival), Frankfurt am Main (Museumsuferfest), on the Riedsee at Wutzdog, and Wiesbaden (Folklore, Clöeb Frisch). The growing wave will carry us to Berlin and back, spreading the good news of the coming Album; will crest and crash upon the Record Release Party in Schlachthof the 24 of October, in Wiesbaden. We’re hoping daily to see you all there! Please enjoy a few images and impressions of the past weeks:

The grand glowing splendor of endless yellow flower fields lit our way to Leipzig on Friday. There we, along with out new friends from Sweden, Lacrosse, took part in the annual Pop-Up Festival, an event featuring bands, labels, venues, and much more. For example, these guys, who right before our very eyes, cut one of our songs onto Vinyl from a CD!!
We played a magical show and really felt we won some hearts there in Leipzig, but the greatest part about getting to travel, is getting to come home.

So, we had the esteemed honor to play one of Frankfurt’s favorite underground stages, “Das Bett” (the bed) on the 7th of May. Also on the evening of the gig we were invited to stop by the station at Radio X for a quick chat, and to play a couple tracks from our debut-in-waiting. And a quick chat it was: after an hour and a half in a traffic jam, we had about 3 minutes for a turbo-interview. We left the station and scooted over to the bed just in time to prepare for our show. And what a show it was! The club was full of smiling faces of friends and new friends. We had a great time, and a big thanks again to Das Bett for having us! take a look and see for yourself:
